My name is Bernd Schulte and I'm a drilling fluids specialist in the oil & gas industry since 1981. Music has accompanied my whole life. Big sisters radio and records
was the first music I heard, like early Beatles, Beach Boys and a lot of Rock'n'Roll and Rockabilly. In my youth I played drums in a school band, covering the early Fleetwood Mac, Ten Years After and Canned Heat.
In 1997 a radio station, the Ems-Vechte-Welle, started to broadcast from our city. The Ems and Vechte are rivers that run through our region in NW-Germany. I became a volunteer radio Dj and did a show "Oldies but Goodies" playing oldies from the 50's till the 80's. In 1999 I decided to change the name into "My Generation", playing more Rock orientated music, the once I admire. Live broadcasting from a club in Lingen and interviews are also a part of my show. Eric Burdon had the "pleasure" to be the first "star" that I have interviewed. Since 2002 my show is called "rockin'XXL". Rockin stands for the music and XXL for myself.
Since July 2007 I do two radio shows, rockin'XXL a rock-music show and "BerndsBluesCorner" ( B.B.C.) a 3 hour blues show and nothing but the blues. Look at www.emsvechtewelle.de for the correct dates & times of broadcast.
On my www.myspace.com/bausbernd site you find lots of information about musicians, tour dates and much more.
